FAQ
Membership

You need to be a member to download podcasts, but membership is free. Just fill in this form, look for the confirming e-mail in your mailbox, and click the link to confirm your membership.

I didn't get a confirming e-mail

Your confirmation message may have been routed to your junk mail folder. Check your junk folder, and if you don't have access to that folder, check with your system administrator. To ensure that our e-mails get through, add this address to your safe senders list: support@normangoldman.com
If you don't see a message in your junk folder, try filling in the membership form again. You may have had a typo in your e-mail address.

Ok, I got the podcast link, what do I do with it?

The rss podcast link is a link to an RSS feed. You need to use an RSS reader to listen to the the content. Copy and paste the link into your RSS reader and the content should be available. Follow the instructions on your individual RSS reader program for more details.

|
Where can I get an RSS reader?

The latest versions of Internet Explorer and Firefox both act as an RSS reader, and are free to download. The iTunes program will also act as an RSS reader for podcasts, and is also free. If none of these are an option for you, you can view a small list of available RSS readers here: http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm

Ok, I want to use iTunes, but when I go to the iTunes Music Store, I only see the FREE podcast. What gives?

Norm's podcast is only available by using the rss podcast link. No pay-per-play podcasts are available via the iTunes Music Store.
To use iTunes, open iTunes, go to the Advanced menu, choose Subscribe to Podcast..., paste the rss podcast link, and click on OK.

|
I click on the rss podcast link, but I get a page that just looks like a bunch of code. What's wrong?

You are using an internet browser that does not act as an RSS reader. See above on how to get an RSS reader.
